Senator Martinez's Solution to Energy Crisis

Republican Senator Mel Martinez met with Mayor John Peyton and officials at CSX in Jacksonvile Tuesday to discuss the need for solutions to the energy crisis.

Senator Martinez says the first way to bring the price down is conservation. Other than that, he says America should try a little bit of everything.

"We need a multi-faceted solution. We need to drill more domestically where it is safe, far away from our shores, enough to make it safe, but including in the Gulf of Mexico, Anwar, Alaska. We need to also do more oil exploration in the west where there is plenty of oil available.

We also need to move into the renewable fuels, new technology and nuclear."
